Content dots 2. Hardware related issues.

Question2.1. Which are the minimum system requirements to install and use Email Address Collector™?
Answer2.1. Email Address Collector™ requires minimum a PII processor, with at least 64Mb of RAM and 10Mb of HDD free space. The scanning and parsing tasks are directly dependent on the system resources.

Question2.2. The email parsing task is very slow. How can I speed it?
Answer2.2. Email Address Collector™ is using as much system memory as possible, during the parsing process. Before extracting email addresses, please try to free as much memory as possible, by closing other applications which may be running. Also, if the parsing process takes a lot of time or if Email Address Collector™ stops responding during that process, please try to select fewer sources (files/folders) for the extraction task.

Question2.3. How does the memory resources affect the parsing and extraction jobs?
Answer2.3. During the task of colleting email addresses, Email Address Collector™ loads the sources to be scanned into the system memory. Also, the list with the extracted email addresses is temporarily saved into the system memory, until the task is finalized. As a result, the performance of Email Address Collector™ mostly depends on the memory resources, as well as on the volume of the sources to be scanned.
