Address extractor for local files

Email Address Collector is designed as an address extractor for various sources, including email messages, mail folders or any local files. Our address extractor can search for addresses within one or more local files at the same time and it can build a list with the collected addresses, so you can save it as an Excel file or export it to Outlook address books.

The address extractor can retrieve email addresses from any readable file, such as files created with: WordPad, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, Adobe Acrobat PDF, local HTML pages. Practically, it can look for addresses within any ASCII file.

To use the address extractor for getting addresses from local files, you need to run Email Address Collector, then to use one of the following options from the "Other Mail Sources" panel:

By accessing the File menu -> "Import DBX files", you can also use the address extractor to search for email addresses within Outlook Express DBX files.

When the address extraction process is completed, you will see the collected addresses displayed in the middle panel of Email Address Collector. Later, you can easily re-use the same file path, because our address extractor keeps a handy list of previously extracted files, listed within the treeview entry of the given file type.

Automatically, the extractor engine will eliminate email address duplicates and it will create alias names for the extracted addresses.
