Outlook Addins & Email Productivity

I am mainly interested in the ability to add notes to emails. From what I understand, B&W accomplishes this by storing the infomation in the local PST file. Is this true of the small PST file Outlook creates for IMAP accounts (since emails are stored on the server)?

My office has a group IMAP email account with limited server space. We are already using 3rd party software to synch a shared PST file where we store emails pulled off the IMAP server. To have your note feature function properly for my setup, would I also have to share/synch the IMAP account PST file in addition to our email storage PST? If so, what would happen to notes when moved from one to the other?

This is not possible because the IMAP server doesn't support this feature.
