New problem now, as I previewed my email creation, everything looked fine, and I saved message for sending later. Upon opening draft I now get the message

Failed to initialize session, Unable to connect to database. Have been unable to find any answers in forum... Please help! Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

Easy Mail Merge saves the mail merge sessions in the Outlook Drafts folder. If you erased the Drafts folder emails or if you auto-archive these emails on daily basis, probably the mail merge session/template is not in your Drafts folder anymore, so Easy Mail Merge can't find it and it triggers that error message.

Regards
Bogdan

Bogdan,

As I mentioned in my post.... I opened the email draft from the draft folder..... so, It was not deleted, its there, yet I get the c"annot find database message." As a matter of fact, I get the message when attempting to open any of the FOUR saved drafts.....

Lets think about other possible cause... so I can get my monies worth out of this application...

Thanks
Tom

Hi,

What contact source did you used on the mail merge sessions? Have you tried a different contact source?

Can you please describe step by step how did you create the mail merge session?

Dan,

Not sure what you mean by what contact source I used. I only have 1 contacts folder, so that is the one I used.

When creating a email merge, I follow the wizard... ie. select my contacts, and category. I then create the message and preview. If I am not ready to send, or wish to edit later, I save the template. It goes into the draft folder. When I go to open the draft later the message, :Failed to initialize session, Unable to connect to database.

If, I go through the whole process of creating a message and send it, it all works fine, but if I postpone sending... the above message appears.

Thanks,

Hope we can find my error in settings or execution.

Tom

Hi Tom,

If your contacts are on a Exchange server please make sure that you are connected to the server when you use Easy Mail Merge.
