Since upgrading to the newest version of EMM, it is not recognizing field values anymore. The text of the outgoing email remains in the following format:
Dear $FName$
Instead of converting to the field value of FName as shown
Dear Bob

EMM was working perfectly as little as 3 weeks ago and we've successfully sent tens of thousands of personalized emails in the past. I've uninstalled and reinstalled EMM, but the situation is unchanged. EMM is used for customer communication and has become critical to my client's business. Please advise.

My environment:
Windows 2000 Pro
Outlook 2003
EMM 1.1

Thanks
Bernie

Hi,

Because the $ was frequently used in writing emails we decided to replace it with the ^ sign. So instead of
Dear $Name$
you will have to write ^Name^.

Kind regards.
