Post subject:  Sending stops - ISP rejects sender

I have tried limiting the send to 5 per ten seconds and still the error message comes up and some of the emails do not get send. Is there a way to work around this?

Can you post the exact/full error message that you are receiving?

If indeed it is because of your ISP, the only solution would be to send only one email at once and to let at least 5-10 sec between emails. This is usually an anti-spam restriction enforced by the ISP.

The error message is:

Error: "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the sender." (1003,7)

The thing is, per the info given, I disabled the send immediately function in Outlook so when I click to send/receive, doesn't that then send all the emails at once, thus making the delay send function inoperative?

The delay works fine if you disabled the send immediately function of Outlook, but you need to make sure that your automatic send & receive period is not longer than the delay between Easy Mail Merge emails.

For example, if you set up Outlook so it performs an automatic send & receive every 10 minutes, then once at 10 minutes it will send all mail merge emails which were supposed to be sent during those 10 minutes.

So if you choose to send a mail merge email every 20 seconds, then you need to set up Outlook to perform an automatic send & receive every 20 seconds.

The same thing happens to me. I have 50 individualized messages, set the sending to 1 per 10 seconds. All 50 go into the Outbox and just sit there. Then I get the message as above. As a matter of fact I get 50 error messages, and nothing seems to go out. I have Outlook 2003, and downloaded the most recent version of Easy Mail Merge.
