What were you thinking? I'd buy this thing in a hot second if I could display the ACTUAL NOTE in the column! But no, you just give me a stupid checkbox saying that I HAVE a note. Useless, and it looked so promising!

Many thanks for the suggestion. Although we consider the current implementation far from being useless (you can easily see that you attached a note to an email and you can see the note by double clicking on the email), we will surely consider your suggestion for the next product update.

Just frustrating. This one feature is the only one I want and I'm looking for it in any app or utility I can get.

The email notes feature was updated, so now the notes text is displayed in the Notes column on the Outlook folder messages view.

I think the Notes feature works pretty well.

My question is, can I set the width of the 'Notes' column when displaying messages in a folder?

What I'm finding is that even though I specify the size of all my columns, the Notes feature seems to ensure it has plenty of space at the detriment of my other columns.

I've checked the Settings area and there is no setting for the column width of Notes.

You can define a fixed width of the Notes column using the Format Columns option. You can access it by right clicking on your folder columns header, then click on "Customize Current View", then "Format Columns" then select the Notes column and set its width.

Thanks Bogdan.

I was trying that but the column widths were 'automatically' being re-adjusted. I thought that the 'Notes' column might have something to do with that. Clearly not the case, otherwise you would have mentioned it. The 'automatic' resizing of columns must be something in Outlook.

Thanks,
