Having installed Bells and Whistles, when I try to start Outlook it just sits/hangs with the message 'Synchronizing Folder List...' at the bottom right corner. If I disconnect Outlook from Exchange (work offline) then restart, it starts straight away but as soon as I reconnect to exchange and then restart, it again hangs as above.
Any idea what is causing this and how I can fix it.

cheers

Nick

The problem is cased by Exchange. While you work on the connected mode, open the Bells & Whistles options menu and disable email notes (from the Alerts & Notes tab). Also, disable the Greetings option (from the Reply Options tab - click on Settings) for adding Outlook Contacts nicknames to email replies.

Then restart Outlook and let me know if it works better.

So if users need to disable numerous B&W features in order to get it to work . . . what's the use in having it?

Well, Bells & Whistles has 19 separate features of which, due to technical limitations of programming for Outlook, 2-3 of them can not work on certain configurations (like on some scenarios while working in the connected mode for Exchange clients). There is little we can do about these cases.

Sorry,
Bogdan
