I'm having major issues with Outlook freezing and crashing and I'm almost 100% positive its AFU. It freezes and a lot of the folders disapper and when I try to click the AFU button, its giving me options to choose the color flag instead of showing all my AFU scheduled. I have a two part question:

1. Can I export/import the AFU's I have scheduled
2. I was thinking of unistalling reinstalling to see if it might fix it. If I do that, will that erase all my scheduled AFU's and if so, then the first question certainly applies.

Please help. I can't keep force closing and restarting Outlook. It's becoming too much of a pain and killing productivity.

We have replied to the email you sent us, but it's a good idea to post the answer here as well.

We apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

It appears that your problems are related to Microsoft Word being your default email editor. You can change this setting (which was discarded in Outlook 2007 because it created many issues) by going to the Tools menu in the Outlook interface -> Options -> Mail Format -> uncheck „Use Microsoft Word 2003 to edit email messages”. Then, please restart Outlook and everything should be OK.

Then, please update your installation of ARM to the latest version and try again – it should work correctly.

Regarding your inquiries:
1. You can backup all your AFU data by going to C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\DS Development\AFU, then copying all the files there and pasting them in a new folder;
2. When you uninstall, it’s just the application that gets erased – the data and info still remains on your hard-drive so you can reinstall without fear.

I hope this fixes your issues, please contact us if it doesn’t or if you have any questions/suggestions regarding our products.

Best Regards,
Andrew Smith
