We bought the software after a trail period.
After receiving the confirmation mail we tried to register using the steps as provided through the interface.
An error regarding the buffer being full and not able to contact the “softwrap” server keeps preventing us from registring.
We logged a case with softwrap on 5/4/2005 but have not been contacted since.
Regards
Paul Vandamme

Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the registration problems.

Please make sure that:
- you are connected to the Internet while attempting to register;
- you are not behind a firewall that blocks HTTPS access;
- if you are using a proxy server, make sure it allows HTTPS access;
- you are logged on to that Windows machine as a local user (local administrator would be even better) and not as a remote user;
- you don't run any memory managers or debuggers while trying to register.

If you still have problems registering, please drop me an email at mailto:bogdan@emailaddressmanager.com and I will pursuit the problem from there. I am sure we will solve this issue quickly.

Regards
Bogdan

I have the same problem and wonder whether there is meanwhile a solution for it.
I cannot re-install my licence and get similar errors like:
"no buffer space available. The socket cannot be created".

I have just made a fresh Windows XP SP2 installation.

I have no registery program running, no antivirus or 3rd party firewall.
I have switched off the standard Windows XP firewall but that does not help.
We do have an ISA server firwall but we had the same before when BW worked find. I have also switched off this firewall but the problem remains.
We do have a proxy server but without it we have no Internet connection.

With the XP firewall, the ISA and the proxy server switched on, I can easily access your secure site https://www.softwrap.com.

Any idea what this can be?

The only changes I made are the ones that the template creator said to make. I have no idea what this error means or how to fix it. Any ideas?
