I bought this product but it will not allow me to activate. I can open it if I use the trial version, but when I try to activate, I get message "Activation failed, technical error".

I have written many times for tech support to no avail. You just keep telling me to try it again. I would like you to activate this product or return my money.

Hi Marjory,

This error is generated if you try to register a newer version with a serial for an older version (e.g. if you try to register Bells & Whistles version 3.x with a serial for version 2.x) and vice versa (e.g. you will get the same error if you try to register version 2.x with a license for version 3.x). Please make sure that you register the right version of Bells & Whistles.

With all due respect, Dan, I think you have not understood my message. I have done everything according to your directions, and I still get the same error message. I have repeatedly written to support about this, and still get the same result.

I am suggesting there must be something further you can do so I get the benefit of this product. Franly, if it were not for the note feature, I would have written this off and just added it to my "wasted money on software" account.

Can you not issue me a registration number that works? Or send me a registered copy? If the problem is at my end, there must be a registry fix you can suggest.

Hi Marjory,

Please let me know:
1. the exact version of Bells & Whistles that you are currently running on your Outlook. You can find the full version number under the Abous Us window displayed in the Bells & Whistles main toolbar;
2. your License Holder Name. Don't post the purchase reference number, but just the License Holder Name that you were given from Softwrap.com.

I am sure we can quickly fix the problem.

Bogdan, I installed the latest version, DL'd from your website. "About us" shows version 3.0.143.0

I am registered with you as "Marjory Harris"

I have sent this information many times by email, and get responses from Dan Pascal, always telling me to do the same thing which never works.

I hope you can now fix the problem.

Hi Marjory,

According to our users database, you have bought two licenses for Bells & Whistles: one license on 7th of August (for v2.5) and one license on 31st of August (for v3, as an upgraded license). These two licenses have different reference numbers.

You would need to use the second license/reference number (issued for v3) in order to activate the product. However, according to our stats, your second license was refunded to you - so you can't actually use it.
