I am getting the following message when i hit the edit rules button: failed to initialize html template. Error code 0x80070402. I am running Outlook 2007 and my auto reply manager is version 2.0.84.0. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to auto reply manager and it is still not working. Please help.

Hi Sylvia,

For sure the problem is related to some nested/hidden HTML tags from within the email.

Please do this simple test: over you copy the email content from Word, set the email format to plain text and attempt a mail merge preview. If you still get that error message, please double check the content for any characters like “$” or “^”. If your email contains them, just double type them (so instead of ^3, write ^^3 – the program will handle it as a single ^ when creating the outgoing message).

Please uninstall Auto Reply Manager from your computer and then download the program from this link and install it without having Outlook turned on.
