Hi!

I just tried the EAC on some mailbox files, belonging to Thunderbird and Mulberry. These are Unix styled flat files containing messages separated by a new line and a From mark. I tried to use the header field filter functions, but still EAC grabs all message id's containing the @.

Is this feature not intended to work on files containing RFC821 style messages? I would have no problem with that, just asking in case the answer to this question is 'no' :)

But it's sure that it works on Outlook folders, right? This I need to suggest the product to some customers .)

CU

Hi Hein,

Indeed, the filters only work with Outlook folders & messages. For other mailbox or local files, Email Address Collector extracts every found address, so you need to manually sort the extracted addresses and save the right ones...

However, on v4 of Email Address Collector this issue will be solved.

Meanwhile I had the chance to test the EAC and its filters with Outlook and it works great. Just what I was looking for!

That's even better to hear :)

Thanx,
