Collecter works fine with Acrobat (including vXI) files and outlook msg files (single messages), but when it reaches a word file, it just blocks at "Extracting email addresses ..." and makes no more progress - though it does seem to be using lots of processor and memory
It extracts OK with a very small word file (just one line of text, in word 2003-2007 format .doc) , but blocks with files with some content. Even when left to think for 10 mins, there is no progress ... In the end I have to shut down the programme with ctr-alt-del
NOTE - I want to extract emails from the files only, NOT from my outlook contacts or elsewhere ...

Thanks for advice

Email Address Collector version: 32-bit Microsoft Outlook version: 14.0.6131.5000 32-bit Mozilla Thunderbird version: N/A OS version: Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Application store folder: C:\Users\Christopher\AppData\Roaming\DS Development\EAC\

Is it a DOC or DOCX Word file? Assuming it is a DOCX file, can you please save the file as DOC (from Word), then try again with Collector?

We just launched a fix for this issue, so as I stated in the email, please just download the latest version of EAC and it will work correctly.

Thank you for supporting our products and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

Best Regards,
