outlook 2003
auto reply does not work. I created a rule in outlook using the rules wizard and I receive an auto reply. I unchecked the rule and created a rule using this product and no auto reply is sent. I rebooted, closed outlook and reopened it. no luck.

Hello,

Please go to Auto Reply Manager->Rules->Show Execution Report and check what it says in the description column at the email it should send a reply to. This way you can find out the reason Auto Reply Manager didn't send an automatic reply.

If the email you receive doesn't match your custom defined filters than no automatic reply will be sent. Please try with fewer filters.

Also, please try to send a test email from an internet browser (e.g. yahoo, gmail etc) or try to send email from a different computer with different email accounts than the ones you have on your computer. It is not recommended to test Auto Reply Manager with emails sent from your account to the same account or to an account from your computer because Auto Reply Manager will not send an automatic reply to these emails to prevent email loop.

Hello,

What versions of MS Outlook and Auto Reply Manager are you using?

Do you use MS Outlook as a client for an Exchange server?

What type of email accounts do you use (POP3, IMAP etc)?

Also, please make sure that the rules you try to use are active. First go to Auto Reply Manager->Rules->Edit rules and check if the "Enable rules execution" option is check marked. Then select (from the same window) the rule that doesn't work and press "Edit" button. Check if "Enable this rule" option is check marked.

Hello,

Please check the filters you defined to filter the emails. If you defined for example a date filter and that date passed or that date interval does not match the actual date, then Auto Reply Manager won't send any replies.

If it still doesn't work please send to mailto:support@emailaddressmanager.com the log.xml and Options.xml files. You can find these files in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\DS Development\AutoReplyManager\" (Where <user> is the name of the logged in user). Also you might need to check mark "Show hidden Files and Folders" to be able to get to the log file location (some of the folders from this path are hidden). You can find this option in Control Panel->Folder Options->View->Show hidden Files and Folders.
